After a strenuous workout body loses some proteins, but the loss is compensated by a protein diet. But when a person feels that the deficiency is not being countered by protein diets, he/she starts consuming protein powder. The protein supplement refills the hole in person’s nutrition.

But the excessive consumption of protein powder can backfire and cause great damage to internal organs particularly Heart and Kidneys.

Some studies conducted in a last few fiscal show that the consumption of protein meals and Powder has increased multiples times in European countries particularly the USA and UK.

People are sticking to the belief that they are losing protein as a result of strenuous workouts and sex sessions. As a result, they start consuming protein packed meals and Powder in high quantity.

A study carried out by a Market Research Company reveals that youth in USA consume protein shakes several times during a day just because they think protein supplements are a substitute for normal food.

How protein powders affect our health

Health experts say that moderate amount of protein supplement is good for the body, but heavy ingestion may cause long-term damage to the internal organs of the person.

Some of the most common protein power pack meals are Schmoylent, Schmilk, and People Chow.  According to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) USA,   a male requires just 65 grams of protein during a day, while as a protein shake provides him 40 grams per serving means a person having too many shakes in the day is consuming more than 100 grams of protein orally in a day. On the other hand an adult woman requires just 46 grams of protein a day, but 2010 US Food Survey reveals women consume more than 70 grams of protein a day. The reason for it is said to be sugar and processed carbs under growing scrutiny.

This can be dangerous for them. The extra quantity of protein will take a toll on the health of their heart and Kidneys.

According to a 2012 study of Research Company Mintel, this time about 20% of beverage and food products have been labelled “high-protein,” which is the highest percentage of any country.

Protein Powders are high in additives, sugar and calories having nutritional value almost zero.  Consumer reports Investigation in 2015 found lead, arsenic, cadmium and mercury in many protein powder products. Since Protein products are not regulated by the FDA, these protein powders lack warning labels addressing potential for overuse.

Since we consume many protein diets during a day, so there is no need to consume protein powder unless you are not suffering from protein malnutrition and that under the strict guidance of your physician. Instead consume Normal protein diets.  Normal protein diets will improve your health as well as physique.
